the a-maze-ing maze

this is a maze that one of my students is working on. i am blown away by his abilities. he has included keys that let you in to color-coded gates. he has also put transporters in!!! i love watching his brain think through these things. while he is painting, i take photographs. i am putting them together in a stop-action movie.

Valentine One of our teachers came to me with a lesson that she was working on for Valentine's day. Her class will be making 21 valentines to send all over the U.S. and Canada. cobra in the maze okay....so i've been putting the video together of the student painting the maze. NOW, he made a king cobra out of modeling clay and we have filmed him going through the maze!!! it is a little choppy, but the look on my student's face when he saw it on the camera was priceless!! the disappearing snake, snake going through the portals and the movement were all his idea. i basically just held the camera and clicked!
